Returns & refunds

Two separate things apply to your order: our own 30-day money-back guarantee, and your statutory 14-day right to cancel. They are not the same, and you can rely on either.

1. Our 30-day money-back guarantee

This is a promise we make voluntarily, on top of your legal rights. Live with the light for up to 30 days from delivery. If it doesn't earn its place, email hello@lumenandoak.com with your order number and we'll refund you in full.

  • Applies for 30 days from the day your order is delivered.
  • The light can be used — we'd rather you actually tried it.
  • Please return it with its charging cable and mount where possible.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of us receiving the return.

2. Your statutory 14-day right to cancel

Separately, and regardless of the guarantee above, if you are a consumer in the UK you have a legal right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

  • You may cancel for any reason within 14 days of the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods — no reason required.
  • To cancel, tell us clearly in writing at hello@lumenandoak.com before the 14 days end. A short email saying you wish to cancel is enough.
  • After cancelling you have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
  • We refund all payments received, including standard outbound delivery, within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or of evidence you've sent them).
  • We may reduce the refund to reflect any handling beyond what is needed to establish the nature and functioning of the item.

This statutory right sits alongside — and is never replaced by — our 30-day guarantee.

Faulty goods

If an item is faulty, misdescribed or not fit for purpose, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in addition to everything above, including repair, replacement or refund. Contact us and we'll put it right.

How to start a return

Email hello@lumenandoak.com with your order number and whether you're using the 30-day guarantee or your 14-day cancellation right. We'll reply with the return address and instructions. Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm UK time. We reply within one business day.
